Posting my savings one photo at a time!

I guess this is more of a personal posting. Maybe I shouldn’t be posting it in such a public place.. oh well! Join suit! Post a comment with your savings! Include a picture of your receipt to prove it if you can!

I LOVE saving. I keep learning more and more about using coupons. I can not believe how many people are against or are too embarrassed to use coupons. Well, I take that back.. I can , but hopefully seeing the savings will help you out if you are one of “those” people .

The following photo is from a grocery trip to Albertsons. Now,  you might have heard of other Moms going grocery shopping and it coming out to .25 or even free. I am NOT that good…yet! (Hopefully one day:) )  I was still proud of myself though! After all was rung up, my bill was $489.XX. I could feel my cheeks burning and my husband looking at me as though I had lost my mind. (Kind of funny because he doesn’t usually shop with me.)  After using the shoppers card and giving the cashier my coupons, my total was $126.XX. I saved over $300.00!

 Confession time: No… not all items were the healthiest. We are huge cereal eaters. There was a great deal on cereal and I stocked up on it! My husband was totally suprised. {Insert corny commercial here: Grocery shopping $489.xx Savings with coupons/etc. $300.+ Look on husbands face after seeing savings: PRICELESS} …It took me about an hour to clip the coupons, and about an hour to shop. That is over $150 an hour I was paid to shop for my own groceries!

 Maybe I will update this with more of my shopping adventures. I can see the excitement on your face now
